Joan and Ron's Trip
Shared by Joan & Ron The Kimberley and the Centre
A second run at Broome — dinosaur country, Kakadu, the Gibb River Road, the Tanami and Kings Canyon.
We are back from our second attempt to get to Broome, had a great trip and all went really well. We went up through the dinosaur fields around Winton in Queensland, across to the Northern Territory visiting numerous places including Kakadu, Darwin, Litchfield National Park, Katherine, Keep River National Park, then to Kununurra in Western Australia, the Gibb River Road to Derby, Broome, around to Halls Creek and then across the Tanami Desert to Alice Springs, East and West Macdonnell Ranges, Kings Canyon (possibly the highlight of the trip, there were so many great places), Uluru and the Olgas, Coober Pedy, then home.
At one camp site on the Gibb River Road we saw a Compact Camper from Victoria.
Have attached a photo taken after we crossed the Pentecost River.
Again thanks for your support, we are really happy with the camper.
