Stockman Pod Trailers

Banish rust forever. Say goodbye to rusty trailers for good. The award-winning Pod Trailer — the Swiss Army knife of trailers — built around a rust-proof poly tub on an Australian-made galvanised chassis.

Why the Pod

A trailer for a hundred and one uses.

A multi-purpose trailer for camping gear, gardening or a hundred and one other uses. The tub and lid are moulded from the same tough plastic as wheelbarrows and water tanks — so it won’t rust, dent or fade.

Three Pods

The Pod Trailer family.

The tub and lid don't change. The chassis, suspension, brakes and tyres do — pick for the tracks you actually tow on.

Pod Trailer

Tare 250kg · 750kg unbraked · 1,000kg braked

  • The original Pod. Light enough to tow behind almost anything, hard-working enough for the tip run, the weekend camp and the everyday hauling.
  • 6-leaf slipper suspension on 14″ white steel Sunraysia wheels with light-truck tyres — sorted for sealed roads and gravel.
  • Over a cubic metre under the lid, 500kg load capacity, heavy-duty tie-downs on all four sides, gas-strut Big Lid as standard.
  • 1.3m drawbar with bike-rack mounting plate, swing-up 6″ jockey wheel, LED tail lights, spare wheel under the rear.

All Roada

Tare 340kg · 1,000kg braked · 15″ A/T tyres

  • Same tub, same lid — with the suspension and tyres to leave the blacktop for beaches and rougher tracks.
  • 7-leaf eye-to-eye off-road springs on a 40mm solid square axle, 15″ black steel Sunraysia wheels, 235/75 R15 all-terrain tyres.
  • Built to live with the camp gear packed between trips. A popular base for roof and bike racks, awnings and a roof-top-tent conversion.
  • Longer 1.6m drawbar with bike-rack mounting plate, swing-up 8″ jockey wheel, spare wheel under the rear, Big Lid as standard.

Why the Pod lasts

A tub that lasts. A lid that locks. A chassis built here.

With more than 4,000 happy Pod owners, the Pod has proved itself a trusted workhorse. “In all the years I’ve been making them, I’ve never seen one break or even fade in the sun.” — Phil Savory

Tub and lid

Banish rust forever.

The Pod tub and lid are moulded from 6–8mm UV-stable polyethylene — the same material as wheelie bins, ute liners and water tanks.

It lives outside, carries wet or dirty gear, and skips the rust problem that follows ordinary steel tubs around.

  • Over a cubic metre under the lid
  • Australian Plastics Award-winning design

Load security

Lock the lid. Skip the tarps.

The lockable lid keeps gear dry and secure — no ropes, no tarpaulins flapping at 100 km/h, no load exposed to the weather.

Gas struts make it easy to lift, and it quick-releases off the trailer when a job needs the whole tub open.

  • Weatherproof lockable Big Lid
  • Gas-strut assisted, quick-release
  • Heavy-duty tie-downs on all four sides

Rack it up

Start simple. Add as you go.

A bike-rack mounting plate is built into the drawbar. Roof racks, kayak and bike carriers, awnings, toolboxes and water tanks all bolt on.

Add a roof-top-tent setup and any Pod becomes a quick camper without losing tub access.

  • Roof, kayak, bike, awning options
  • Toolboxes, jerry can holders, water tanks
  • Roof-top-tent setup across the range
Features

Built simple. Built to last.

The details that make the Pod easy to live with — a tub that lasts, a lid that locks, and a chassis built here.

Deep poly tub

Over a cubic metre under the lid, moulded from 6–8mm UV-stable polyethylene that will not rust, dent or fade.

Lockable Big Lid

A weatherproof, gas-strut-assisted lid that locks and quick-releases for the big loads. Now standard across the range.

Heavy-duty tie-downs

Anchor points on all four sides secure your load without ropes or flapping tarps.

Australian-made galvanised chassis

Built in Australia with galvanised or zinc-plated fixings throughout — the design behind 4,000+ Pods.

Light tare weight

From 250kg on the Pod Trailer, so it tows behind a compact SUV and leaves more capacity for the load.

Suspension to match your tracks

Leaf-spring, off-road springs or genuine Cruisemaster independent suspension, depending on the version.

Drawbar bike-rack plate

A bike-rack mounting plate is built into the drawbar, with a swing-up jockey wheel and LED tail lights.

5-year structural warranty

Backed by a 5-year structural warranty and a 2-year on-road warranty when used as intended.
