A Stockman Rover 02 hitched up on a bush track
Ownership

Backed for the long run.

Every new Stockman trailer, camper and caravan is warranted against defects in materials and workmanship — in addition to your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.

5yr Structural warranty Chassis, frame, drawbar and body structure built by Stockman.
2yr General warranty Stockman workmanship, materials and Stockman-installed parts.
+ Supplier-backed components Appliances carry their own warranties — up to lifetime cover.
Transferable The balance can follow the product to its next private owner.

Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if they fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.

What's covered, and for how long.

Built for the trip

Use it for what it's built for.

Each Stockman is warranted for its intended terrain when used within stated load limits, speeds, tyre pressures and servicing. Rough, corrugated, sandy or remote roads call for slower speeds, lighter loads, lower pressures and more frequent checks.

Outback & off-road tracks

Extreme Off-road Pod Trailer

Designed for outback tracks and off-road tracks within Stockman’s stated limits and instructions.

Damage from excessive speed, incorrect tyre pressures, overloading, hard impact, heavy landings, collision or misuse isn’t covered — nor is submersion, water above the floor of the tub, or crossings beyond Stockman’s stated guidance.

Touring, unsealed & moderate off-road

All-Roada · Rover 02 All Terrain · Trekka Ultra XT / Platinum XT

Designed for touring, unsealed roads and moderate off-road travel within stated operating limits.

Damage from unreasonable or unsuitable use — excessive speed, wrong tyre pressures, overloading, hard impact, heavy landings, severe rutting, washouts, deep water crossings, collision or misuse — isn’t covered.

Sealed & maintained gravel roads

Trekka On-Road

Designed for sealed roads and maintained gravel roads, with occasional well-maintained gravel use when driven to conditions.

Not designed for rough 4WD tracks, deep ruts, heavy corrugations, washouts or water crossings. Damage from unsuitable terrain or unreasonable use isn’t covered.

Sealed & maintained gravel roads

Rover 02 Super Lite / Escape · Pod Trailer

Designed primarily for sealed roads and maintained gravel roads, with occasional well-maintained gravel use when driven to conditions.

Not designed for rough 4WD tracks, deep ruts, heavy corrugations, washouts or water crossings. Damage from unsuitable terrain or unreasonable use isn’t covered.

Claims

Making a claim is four steps.

  1. 1

    Get in touch

Contact Stockman or your selling dealer as soon as the issue appears. Stop using the product if it’s unsafe.

  2. 2

    Share the details

Your contact details, model and VIN/chassis number, proof of purchase, a short description, clear photos or video, and service records if maintenance may be relevant.

  3. 3

    Assessment

We may ask to inspect the product or part before approving the claim. Don’t arrange third-party repairs without written approval, except in a genuine safety emergency — then contact us as soon as practical.

  4. 4

    The fix

If accepted, Stockman will repair, replace or adjust the product or part, arrange an approved repairer, or provide any remedy required by Australian Consumer Law.

Unless Stockman agrees otherwise or the Australian Consumer Law requires it, the customer bears the cost of making a claim, including delivery for inspection or repair. Where a claim is accepted and the ACL requires it, Stockman reimburses reasonable claim expenses. The warranty doesn't cover towing, recovery, freight, travel, accommodation, loss of use or hire costs unless required by the ACL or agreed in writing — if you travel remotely, carry appropriate insurance and recovery cover.

Your side of the deal

Keep it maintained, keep it covered.

Warranty stays simple when the product is used as intended and looked after. Here's what we ask.

  • Use the product for its intended purpose
  • Stay within load, GVM, speed and tyre pressure recommendations
  • Complete reasonable servicing and maintenance
  • Stop using the product if a serious fault or unsafe condition appears
  • Contact Stockman or the selling dealer promptly about warranty issues
  • Get Stockman approval before arranging third-party warranty repairs
  • Keep basic service and repair records
  • Complete running gear checks — wheel nut torque, tyre pressures, brakes, bearings, suspension fasteners — especially after rough-road travel

Nothing here limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.

Recommended service schedule

ServiceTiming
First inspection 1,000km or 3 months — whichever comes first
Regular service Every 12 months or 10,000km — whichever comes first
Harsh-use check After extended corrugations, beach use, water exposure, heavy dust, mud or remote touring

Missed maintenance can affect coverage where the lack of maintenance caused or contributed to the issue.

Selling it on

The warranty can travel with it.

The remaining balance of the Stockman warranty can transfer to a new private owner — a genuine resale advantage.

  • New owner registers with Stockman within 30 days of purchase
  • Stockman responds within 14 days of receiving the details
  • The new owner receives the remaining balance — transfer doesn't restart the period

What we'll ask for

  • New owner name, phone and email
  • Model and VIN/chassis number
  • Proof of purchase or transfer
  • Available service history
  • Any known damage, modifications or major repairs

Stockman may decline transfer where there's incomplete history, unauthorised modifications, misuse, hire or commercial use, accident or water damage, severe corrosion or a write-off. Supplier warranties have their own transfer rules.

The fine print

What's not covered.

The short version: damage from misuse, missed maintenance, unsuitable terrain and normal wear isn't warranty. The full lists, grouped:

Use and terrain
  • General wear and tear
  • Overloading or uneven loading
  • Excessive speed or incorrect tyre pressures
  • Unsuitable tow vehicle or towing setup
  • Hard impact, heavy landings, severe rutting or unsuitable terrain
  • Accident, collision or misuse
  • Products used for hire, rental, commercial use or permanent accommodation
Water and environment
  • Damage caused by water crossings, submersion, flood, similar external water exposure or inappropriate pressure washing — including water ingress resulting from these. Water ingress caused by a defect in Stockman materials or workmanship remains covered.
  • Corrosion resulting from failure to wash down and dry the product after salt, beach or coastal exposure, or from poor cleaning or storage
  • Extreme weather or environmental damage
  • Dust ingress and soiling of fabrics, soft furnishings or internal fitments from dust, sand, mud or other airborne substances
Running gear and consumables
  • Tyres, wheel alignment, wheel balance, brake adjustment, brake linings, bearings, seals, shock absorbers, light globes and other service or consumable items
  • Damage or abnormal wear caused by incorrect wheel nut torque, hub imbalance, incorrect tyre pressures, wheel impact, water ingress into bearings or missed running gear checks
  • Movement or dislodgement of appliances and fittings caused by hard impact, heavy landings, severe corrugations, overloading or unsuitable terrain
  • Poles, ropes, annex/awning wear items and similar consumables, except where a supplier warranty applies
Cosmetic, modifications and other
  • Cosmetic damage such as chips, scratches, dents, fading or paint wear
  • Stone, rock or road debris damage
  • Poor or irregular maintenance
  • Unauthorised modifications or repairs
  • Units sold as damaged, auction, factory-second, clearance or non-standard, unless Stockman confirms coverage in writing at the time of sale
  • Third-party appliances and components covered by supplier warranties

Stone damage isn't covered — protecting the trailer and tow vehicle from stones is the customer's responsibility. Stone guards reduce the risk but can't prevent it entirely.

No unauthorised promises. No dealer, agent or representative can change this warranty or make additional warranty promises unless confirmed in writing by Stockman Products Pty Ltd.
